Our Church today

I see the Disciples of Jesus Christ in our church generation today. Matthew 14- 13-21 Tells us the story Jesus Christ, Disciples and all those followers of Christ. Evening came and the Disciples want to send people away so they can buy their own food. How many of us claimed to be Christ’s disciples and when our fellow believers are in need, we send them away. I see the attitude, characters of Jesus Disciples in churches today. Jesus disciples were with Him from the beginning of Jesus Ministry. They have heard Jesus teach about love. They have heard Jesus say to the young rich man to sell all his positions and give it to the poor/needy, and come and follow Me. The disciples of Jesus were able to write the Gospel of Jesus Christ, just like us today.

This is the situation of churches today. People come to the church for whatever reason they may have just like the great multitude.

Some are in financial crisis, some is in need of whatever it is they needed and instead of helping him or her, we send them away. We who claim to be Christians/ Christ Disciples we send them away, we don’t want to share to them of what we have.

Many of us have heard the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Love God and love your neighbors yet we never learned how to love our neighbors.

Right now as I am writing this, my heart is grieved because the church of GOD is in false proclamation of being filled with GOD’ Spirit, God’s Glory while some are even losing their hope because we refuse to truly obey the teaching of Christ “TO LOVE OUR NEIGHBORS”. How sad it is, that the only help we can give to our fellow man is prayer, laying of hand, and some Scripture for them to claim it and meditate it. How sad it is that, we never even bother to pretend that we are concern about them. How sad that we talk about Love in the church, in the prayer meeting, Bible studies or even conferences, yet refuse to give some help for those who are in need. How sad that we claim ourselves Spirit filled yet without Love.

The Bible say; you can move the mountain, but if you don’t have love it is all nothing. You can heal the sick or even raise the dead, but without Love it is nothing.

The Disciples of Jesus Christ have two fishes and five loaves, they can give them all to any children or at least share a piece of it to others, but instead they wish to send people away. We have things we can share to others, yet we refuse to do so and the sad thing about this , is we confess even in a song we sang every Sunday, we love you GOD. There are people who are financially crisis, yet Churches Leaders must have their own salary first. What happened to “freely you received, freely you will give?” In the Bible, offerings are collected for the poor and oppress, not for the Disciples. I pray to God that we will come into our right mind to come back to the true teaching of the Gospel: LOVE

Jesus said;

WHATEVER YOU DO TO THE BRETHEREN, YOU HAVE DONE IT TO ME.

WHATEVER YOU DID NOT DO TO THE BRETHEREN,

YOU DID NOT DO IT TO ME.

Three Options given to David

Three Options Given to David

There are some Bible characters I love and admire. One of the is King David. He is not just musician boy who sing to God. He is not only courageous but he is also smart guy.

2 Samuel 24: David admit that he have sin against God that make God really angry, that cost the angels to strike down some Israelites. Then God spoke to David through Gad the Prophet. God gave David three option for consequences of his sin.

1. Seven years of famine all over the land.

2. Three months running away {flee} from your enemies. ( this means also captivity}.

3. Three days pestilence {sicknesses}.

If you were David which one will you choose from the three options? I can’t imagine what kind of sicknesses nor how terrible the famine will be, and how hard it is to live without any peace in mind.

I don’t think that you will sleep well if you know your enemies are around running after you.

I mean I live in ground floor. All my neighbors have experience the burglary that every night even when we are already sleeping, once I hear some noise I get in bed and check it out. This is happened at least for four to six months. Once the thief know that we’re always home at night, then they don’t try to break in to steal. Any way I know how hard it is to live without peace in mind. Then I have also experience to be sick and in one day sick in bed I already begging God for help and healing. Then famine is one of the hardest thing I think really hard to face. Have you ever experience fasting for several days without any water and any food? Imagine seven years of famine. This is not advisable to choose. Which one of those three will you choose?

King David, he did not choose any of those three options given to him. He instead seek and choose God’s mercy which David himself believed and have sang it thousand times how merciful God is.

This is what it means Knowing God. Knowing who He is. This is the problem of many churches today.

Many knows about God and who God is, but not knowing God. I believe that if the churches today will know who God is really, then the churches will be filled with God’s love. Then we will be able to die of ourselves and live our life for other’s sakes. If we truly know God then we will not accept and we will not believed that it is God’s will for us to be sick or to suffer for any kind and will not believe that we are suffering because of what we have done wrong from the past. Though we have already repented thousand times. Remember this people if there is anyone tell you that if you want to be forgiven the you need to fast, don’t eat anything nor drink but a cup of water a day. Don’t believed that because God’s mercy through Christ given to us not because we fasted but because that who God is. Instead of fasting from food and drinks, fast from sins.

Don’t believe anyone who will tell you, if you want to be forgiven from your sin then you need to offer some amount for the good of poor people. No! You can be forgiven by repentance. Christ have done it all for us. Jesus Christ said; It is done. Then remember this also, God does not forgive sin in process. He is quick to forgive.

Now back to 2 Samuel 24: The petition of David for the Mercy of God was granted. He does not need to flee from his enemies, he does not need see his nation suffer from famine or any pestilence.

That is who God is. Merciful.

Right now, you might feel guilty of any sin from the past. You might have something going on in your mind thinking and believing that you are suffering from whatever it is you are suffering, thinking this has something to do with what you have done from your past, seek God’s mercy. He is faithful and more than you know He is willing to cleanse you from all those guilt of sins. Jesus Christ said to those who repent and ask Him for help, “I am willing, be healed, be clean”.

Hope that we all learn something today.

Meditate: God does not forgive sin in process. God is quick to forgive.

God bless and keep the faith till we see our Lord Jesus Christ face to face in His glory.

How to keep the faith?

Keep the Faith

We hear this a lot, keep the faith. There are lots of people struggling with keeping their faith specially during the hard time. The Bible tell us that Jesus did not come to give peace but wars. He did not come to make the whole world beautiful again but to die on the cross so anyone who will believed will be save through His death and resurrection. This means that problems and all kind of troubles will be on our midst. Jesus have spoken that Mother and daughters will have arguments and fights. Son to his father. Mother in law to his son in law. Nation will be against nation. Tribulations, pain, suffering we will face them all, but the most important is that we keep our faith till the end of time. Now by the grace our Lord Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit, all we need to do is ask God to help us keep our faith and we need to be obedient. Fred Smith said; that our faith is nourished by Scriptural promises. The Bible is filled with God’s promises and reading all those help us to keep our faith.

If we renew our mind everyday. How did Apostle Paul able to encourage all those fellow Christians to keep their faith and how did he over come all those hardship. He said, I press forward for what is ahead. Apostle Paul made a goal and is to see God face to face. Apostle Paul was so devoted to fulfill his goal, for his dream to come true to see Jesus Christ in His glory. Suffering is only for a moment, but the one Apostle Paul is pressing forward to is what is forever glory with God.

To strengthen our faith we need to keep reading God’s promises. In spite of what is going on with your life, keep reading till you come to believe in God’s word, in every promises God made. Every time you face hardship remind yourself like David reminded himself who God is. How faithful God is. This is how we can keep our faith.

1. Renewing our mind daily by reading the Bible till we come to believe in every single word God have spoken.

2. We need to exhort ourselves, reminding ourselves of what we read from the word of God.

3. We need to deny our self, we need to die from all those earthly ambitions and flesh dreams.

4. We need to look through the eyes of Christ. “ Like Fred Smith also said: faith gives us night vision goggles“. This mean you might be in the darkest hour ,but you can see things clear and walk in right direction because you have this night vision goggle.

5. We will be able to keep our faith no matter what, once we focus on what is above there and not what is down here.

God bless! If you have any question don’t hesitate to ask and will help you answer your question by the grace of the Almighty God.

True Fasting

Prayer and fasting

Food, drinks are the things come to our mind once we hear the word prayer and fasting. Most of the time I hear from people they are fasting because they want some thing from God. It is funny because I use to do this. One time my former Pastor ask me why am I fasting that day? I said for no reason. She said you must have a reason. Well I want to be close to God I said. Oh is good she said. For how long will you do your fasting? I said that is funny question. I come to realize that very moment, I want to be close to God every single day, every second of my life, but how long will I do the fasting. So I answer my Pastor only for a couple of days. Any way, the reason she knew my fasting is because she us for lunch. Since that day, I become hungry to know about fasting. What is the true fasting and do we need a reason for it.

I believed that God blesses us not because we fast or even pray for it. I believed that God blesses us because that is God’s nature, blessing His Creation.

Try to understand that we did not ask God to send us Redeemer, but He did. We did not ask Jesus to die for us, but He did. We did not ask God to show His mercy in the first place yet He did. We did not ask God to form us in our mother’s womb and yet He did. That is the nature of our Creator.

My sister many time called me and ask me to pray and fast for her, reason because she is in big problem or she is sick. Will I hope that many who will read this will learn as I have learn from our Lord.

What is prayer and fasting God truly chose?

I would like to share with you the story of a brother in Christ. He was hook in smoking one pack a day.

Even during Sunday services, he will go out side just to smoke. After smoking he will wait a bit outside till the smell is gone so others might not smell him. One Sunday the Preacher’s message was about prayer and fasting. Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. As he was outside smoking, he ask God the question; why God? My wife been praying and fasting for me to stop smoking, I did pray and ask you to help me stop this, yet here I am still smoking. Why don’t you hear our prayer?

As he was waiting to be refresh, a tiny voice spoke to him saying; I want you to fast starting today.

You can eat and drink any time you want and anything you want except no alcohol. He said what kind of fasting is that? Starting today don’t light up any cigarette you have. He start fasting, first day then jump to his second days then 3rd till he come to three years not smoking at all. He was holding the half pack of cigarette on his hand when he was saying this; this was my leftover cigarette since the day I started fasting. Then he shouted hallelujah.

God chosen kind of fasting

Isaiah 58

1Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

2Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

3Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

4Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

5Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

6Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

7Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

8Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.

9Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

10And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:

11And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

12And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

13If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

14Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

~ True Fasting is to turn away from all unrighteousness. ~

Worship

Worship

* What is worship?

* Worship is an act of response for what God has done for the redeemed.

* Worship is recognizing who He is and who I am in Christ.

* Worship is the natural response of my heart to the right relationship with Him {The Lord} and with myself and with others.

What qualities do we find in Worship?

* Quiet creates an atmosphere of reverence.

I did not know how noisy the world till I been to a very quiet place.

There is no sound of cars, talking people, no music, etc.

The Bible say; Be silent in the presence of the Lord. {Zech. 2:13}

The world even the churches of God is forgetting this; to be silent before the Lord.

Have you ever seen in the presence of Judge. I notice this on television, people were whispering to each other, but the minute the judge enter the room every body stop talking. They pay respect to the judge. The qualities of worship is not how beautiful the sound of songs we sing and play, but the quality of worship is about calming your soul. The bible say that before we say to God what we need , He know it already.

Quietness create such an atmosphere of reverence to God that quiet our souls.

We come to the church with so many burden. Burden from our children who don’t listen. Burden from our works, from school and even burden from our home itself or our own relationship with our family. We come to the church hoping the cross which is upon our shoulders will be gone, but instead the cross which upon our shoulders become bigger or shall say heavier than when we came. This kind of things are happening in many churches today. Not only to the Pastors and Leaders but to everyone. And we wonder why? It is because churches become like the world to much of noises. I am not against too much music. I ma not talking about that. I am talking about the quality of worship. Worship creates an atmosphere of reverence to God that calm our souls.

* In worship we position ourselves in relation to God. Worship is recognizing who God is and who we are in Christ Jesus. Our Lord Jesus says; I do not call you servant, but friend. This is who we are to God. Because of sin we were enemy of God but through Jesus Christ we become friend with God again. He restore that relationship that was broken because of disobedience. We all know that true friend is together in bad times and in good times. True friends are those who will tell you honestly who you are and willing to help you change. We were all sinners, when Christ came into our life and make friend with us. He help change our character, attitude by telling us what is wrong and what is right through His word “ BIBLE”. What He knows He make it known to us. He does not keep secret. What does it mean? TRUST. There is tin ice between “Trust and Confidence”. Friend is not being shy to each other some how, but being honest, and open to each other. True friend is not being afraid to each other that well she might be mad at me if I tell her that what she have done is ungodly. Friend means you have trust to each other, just Christ have trust us even with His own NAME. I remember I have a friend that was involve in homo sexual relationship. I spoke to them and told them that I am a friend and I would like to tell you that what you been doing is ungodly. After I spoke them I give them some time to do what is right and when they choose to live an ungodly life, then I spoke to them a second time concerning of the matter. I told them that I am a friend, and the Lord Jesus trusted me His Name that is why I am called Christian { means Christ like}. We are always together and the thing is people will think that I approve this evil things you guys are doing. Some even thought that I am one of you guys. So I told them that since you guys don’t want to stop this relationship “homosexual relationship” then I would like to say this in front of your own face, I am a Christian and the Lord trusted me to carry this name. You are love by God but you have chosen to live the ungodly life, so I don’t want to have anything to do with you guys any more, unless you say that you will change your lifestyle.

* In worship I evaluate ourselves – ultimately

. It is becoming habit to evaluate myself. Looking back week before to check if there is something I did that might not be good as Christian. Then in worship I repent and ask God to help me make the decision not to do the same mistake I’ve done. In doing this, changes are taking place in my life.

* In worship we lose ourselves to God.

Losing ourselves to God is a sign of full confidence and trust in Him. I have notice about people. All those sad memories we have. All those painful experiences, we say to God Lord I forgive those people that hurt me, I give them in your hand. Heal me and change me. Now God take it into His hand, and once God have it, we want it back. We’re taking back from God and that is why there are many people don’t get heal from their fast. Forgiveness mean letting go.

This include forgiving yourself.

The Inner Calm

Matthew 11:28-29 is clearly said; Come to Me and I will give you rest. Give Me your burden and I will give you My burden which is easy and light.
